The start of something new....

1. Hang out on an empty beach looking at clouds with the one you love. 2. Rearrange some pebbles. 3. Head for a Victorian cafe on a pier for a slap up vegan lunch.

This piece of paper is nearly 40 years old. Graffiti workings out from my teenage sketch book. Bristol days. Fresh.

34 years ago... I was a damaged young woman exploring life in the Holy Land. I've been on many a journey since, but in so many ways this is where it all began.

I'm about to deliver the finished piece "Chaotic Calm" to it's new home. The brief was non figurative, calming painting for a work "quiet room". I tried to think about what happens in my brain when I meditate: Calm and yet energised. Relaxed, but alert.
