Why Artists Shouldn’t Have Exhibitions

  1. Only people able to make a precise location, date and time will come to your exhibition
  2. Of those that do come, they might be the WRONG people.  IE not people you necessarily want to share your work with
  3. The people you DO want to share your work with might not be able to make it
  4. ….they might live on the other side of the world
  5. Private Views involve painful small-talk with people you don’t necessarily want to share your work with
  6. You might not be able to get the venue you would like
  7. You might not be able to afford to make the art you want to
  8. Some of your pieces (for example colouring a whole building green) might not be able to be realised
